Job Description

Overview

The Program Intern will support the Programme team in successfully implementing diverse development projects.

This position offers hands-on experience across multiple functions, including monitoring and evaluation (M&E),

communications, business development, and project execution. The intern will contribute to impactful initiatives

by assisting with project analysis and stakeholder engagement, creating strategic content, and gaining exposure to

real-world challenges and solutions within the development sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):

 Assist in designing and implementing project M&E systems.

 Analyse data, generate reports and provide actionable insights to guide project decision-making.

 Conduct assessments to monitor progress and evaluate the impact of initiatives.

2. Communication Support:

 Develop communication materials such as reports, newsletters, and social media content.

 Support storytelling and knowledge-sharing initiatives to showcase project achievements.

 Collaborate with teams to enhance project visibility and outreach.

3. Business Development:

 Conduct research to identify potential opportunities and trends in the development sector.

 Assist in preparing proposals, concept notes, and presentations for funding and partnerships.

 Track donor requirements and contribute to pipeline development.

4. Project Implementation:

 Collaborate with teams to execute project activities and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

 Engage with stakeholders and beneficiaries to strengthen relationships and gather feedback.

 Participate in project-related workshops, meetings, and knowledge-sharing platforms.

Key Relationships

 Internal:

Work closely with Programme Managers and cross-functional teams, including communications and business

development.

 External:

Interact with stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries to support project goals.

Represent the organisation in external forums or events when required.

Qualifications

 Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in international development, project

management, communications, or a related field.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with digital communication tools.

 Basic knowledge of M&E principles and practices.

 Strong written and verbal communication skills, with analytical and organisational abilities.

 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
