Job Description

Position Overview

The Program Officer will play a key role in coordinating, implementing, and monitoring various program

activities under CREASION’s Environment and Sustainability pillar. This role involves working with the

Project Management Team (PMT) and supporting stakeholders to ensure effective project execution,

achieve program targets, and document outcomes. The Program Officer will focus on maintaining high

standards of project management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

The Program Officer will work closely with the Program Coordinator at Restless Development and Project

Management Team (PMT) to promote plastic waste management and reduction for transition towards

Circular Economy and engage key stakeholders to advocate for inclusive and evidence-based policies for

the promotion of Circular Economy. Program officer will work closely with young people and ensure timely

implementation of the activities Climate Smart Schools and Digital Volunteerism.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Implementation and Coordination

• Assist the Project Lead in planning and implementing project activities in line with the objectives.

• Coordinate closely with partner organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate

program delivery.

• Organize and manage project workshops, training sessions, and community engagement events as

required.

• Ensure alignment of program activities with the organization’s mission and project goals.

3. Capacity Building and Training


• Conduct capacity-building workshops and training sessions for partner organizations and

community groups.

• Assist in developing educational materials and program guidelines to support partner and

community understanding of project goals.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with local, provincial, and federal government

representatives.

• Advocate for sustainable practices and policies aligned with project goals through community

events and awareness campaigns.

• Support strategic engagement with stakeholders to promote sustainable development initiatives.

5. Monitoring and Evaluation

• Track progress against project objectives, collecting data and monitoring key indicators.

• Support the MERL Officer in data analysis, impact measurement, and documentation of key

insights.

• Prepare regular progress reports and identify areas for improvement to enhance project impact.

6. Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare narrative and financial reports according to project timelines, maintaining accurate and

timely records.

• Ensure compliance with CREASION and donor regulations, policies, and guidelines.

• Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices from the field.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, environmental studies, development studies, or a related

field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project management, program coordination, or

development projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital platforms for project management.

Contract Duration

• 2 Years, with potential for extension based on performance and funding.
